365 Days of Ebay

A vaguely interesting project of moderate proportions.

365 Days of Ebay

The explanation

I have decided my New Year's resolution for 2005 will be to sell something on Ebay every day. I am fascinated with Ebay. I find it amazing, moreso than you can BUY just about anything on Ebay, that you can SELL just about anything on Ebay.

THESE ARE THE THINGS I WILL PLEDGE ABOUT ALL 365 OF MY FORTHCOMING AUCTIONS:

1) Absolutely nothing I auction will be high quality. I fully intend to auction off my trash when things look bad.

2) Every single item will fit into a standard letter-sized envelope.

3) No item will have a shipping fee above the price of a postage stamp, whatever that may be at the given time of the sale.

4) Every item will have "pule" in the item title.

Beyond that, I am holding myself to no limits.

If Rob Cockerham, the Patron Saint of Ill Advised Ideas Publically Executed on the Internet, mentions me on his amazing website, I will consider this project a success.

This is the journal I am using to keep month-by-month track of the project. If you find this idea to be moderately interesting, friend this journal to get

a)Monthly overviews of the project
b)Sneak Peek information on interesting auctions for next month
c)A ridiculous slew of other information that is probably not worth knowing, and only interesting to me.

The Players

Chewbob

Me, Jessica aka Chewbob, who came up with this vastly retarded and unoriginal idea one stormy night in December, 2004. Greatly depressed over ebay's recent attempts at thwarting my plans to sell "The right to pay me money" and "Blame for my history test grade", both auctions being pulled off of the site moments before ending, I set about plotting my revenge.

Oh, ebay, you can take my auctions, but you can never crush my spirit!!! I will sell THINGS, if things are what you want me to sell. But they will be SO CLOSE TO NOT BEING THINGS, you will wonder why they are even being sold in auction form at all. Why, you may ask, are they not simply being discarded, or sold in a yardsale, or given to a friend? Why are they being listed on ebay at forty cents a listing fee a pop?

Because, oh great auction site, because I THINK IT'S HILARIOUS.

My mom thinks that ebay probably hates me by now.

Anne (pronounced Annie) Moloney

Anne is my best friend, and also the first "guest poser" (IE: I got sick of coming up with stupid faces, so she took over for a bit) to pose with what I fondly refer to as "The 365 Days of Ebay Crap". Anne is a lover of many things, the greatest of those things being comics (as evidenced by the picture).

Once, when we were in high school, Anne and I were out and about and we came upon a rabid duck with an afro, and since then we have always felt a strong connection of the deepest kind.

Anne is a believer of many things, one of those things being that people should not have to look at static photos, rather clever moving ones. Hence, it is because of Anne that you will occasionally find ridiculous animated .gifs lurking about the 3DoEC. Or, as she likes to call it, ANNEmation. You see? You see what she did there? (You must remember it's pronounced "Annie", not "Ann".)

Anne's mother thinks she should stop buying so many action figures.

Anne bids you read her livejournal and witness firsthand more of her loving/believing of things.
